Sejak akhir-akhir ini macam jadi trend mak ayah suka cium mulut anak, sebagai tanda kasih sayang yang tidak terhingga.Sebenarnya sayang macam mana sekalipun mak ayah, dilarang untuk cium pada bahagian mulut anak walaupun mereka masih kecil. Ini antara sebab-sebabnya:

1. Boleh Rangsang Syahwat
Bibir merupakan kawasan sensitif yang boleh merangsang syahwat Dr Charlotte Reznick, seorang penulis, psikologi pendidikan dan anak di Universitas California Los Angeles ,UCLA, berpendapat mengenai kesan buruk jika terlalu sering mencium anak-anak di bibir.

Ketika seorang anak mencapai 4 atau 5 atau 6 dan pada usia sekitar itu keinginan seksualnya mulai muncul (dan beberapa anak-anak keinginan seksualnya muncul lebih awal, terkadang muncul pada usia 2 atau 3) dan ciuman di bibir akan mendorong keinginan seksual(syahwat) mereka.

2. Mulut Pindahkan Kuman
Ada bayi yang terkena penyakit kerana sering diciumi bibirnya. Ingatlah bahawa mulut boleh memindahkan kuman melalui ciuman bibir, kerana kuman tersebut boleh masuk ke dalam tubuh.Pelbagai jenis penyakit boleh disebarkan melalui mulut.

3. Rasul dan Sahabat hanya mencium pipi anaknya
Mencium pipi merupakan tanda kasih sayang orangtua pada anaknya, maka hal ini diperbolehkan untuk dilakukan.Namun ada bahagian tertentu yang disarankan untuk mencium anak iaitu pada bahagian pipi, seperti yang pernah dilakukan oleh Saidina Abu Bakar ketika mencium puterinya, Aisyah.

Aku masuk bersama Abu Bakar menemui keluarganya, ternyata Aisyah puterinya sedang berbaring kerana diserang sakit panas yang tinggi. Maka aku melihat ayahnya, Abu Bakar, mencium pipinya seraya bertanya: “Bagaimana keadaanmu, wahai puteriku?” (HR. Al-Bukhari no. 3918)

Walaupun tiada hadis khusus berkaitan perkara ini, tapi sebaiknya memang tak digalakkan untuk mencium anak pada bahagian mulut. Cukuplah tunjukkan kasih sayang pada anak dengan pelukan dan ciuman di pipi.
Sebenarnya, ada 4 tempat ciuman dan 2 tempat gosokan yang digalakkan mak ayah lakukan pada anak.

1. Ciuman di kepala adalah CIUMAN KEBANGGAN
Bila kita rasa bangga dengan pencapaian anak kita contohnya dia boleh skor A dalam exam dia cepat-cepat kita cium bahagian tengah kepala anak kita.

2. Ciuman di dahi adalah tanda REDHA
Bila anak kita buat sesuatu yang buat kita rasa redha dan ikhlas pada anak kita, dahi adalah tempat terbaik untuk kita cium.

3. Ciuman di pipi adalah ciuman RINDU
Bila ambil anak daripada taska atau bila anak baru balik daripada sekolah tempat terbaik nak cium adalah di pipi.

4. Cium  ditangan adalah bila kita rasa KASIH sangat pada anak kita
Ciuman di tangan ni sangat istimewa sebab tu kita kena ajar anak kita cium tangan kita.Untuk menzahirkan rasa hormat dalam diri.

Disamping itu, mak ayah boleh gosokkan dua tempat ini pada anak.

1. Gosok di belakang leher ye kalau anak-anak nampak risau atau tak tenteram.

2. Gosok di dada pulak sangat mujarab untuk kurangkan kenakalan anak-anak. Sambil gosok tu mak ayah boleh cuba selawat atau baca surah surah pendek macam Al Fatihah atau Ayat Kursi.
