Nama Fredrich Yunadi mulai muncuat ke publik saat ia menjadi pengacara Setya Novanto dalam kasus korupsi e-KTP. Advokat yang pernah gagal mencalonkan diri sebagai komisioner KPK ini mencantumkan gelar akademik yang cukup mentereng. Di laman resmi www.yunadi.com, misalnya, ia menulis DR. Fredrich Yunadi, SH., LL.M., MBA.
Namun, gelar akademik Fredrich mulai dipertanyakan sejak ia secara membabi-buta membela Novanto sebagai kliennya di kasus korupsi e-KTP. Ahli hukum pidana dari Universitas Trisakti, Abdul Fickar Hajar bahkan menyebut kekeliruan Fredrich saat membela Novanto tersebut seperti gaya pokrol bambu. Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia mengartikan "pokrol bambu" sebagai "pembela perkara (dalam pengadilan) yang bukan tamatan sekolah tinggi; pokrol yang tidak terdaftar secara resmi."
Fickar berkata, istilah pokrol bambu muncul pada zaman kolonial Hindia Belanda. Istilah ini merujuk pengacara yang tidak memiliki dasar pendidikan ilmu hukum saat membela kliennya di pengadilan. “Kelakuannya (pokrol bambu) seperti Yunadi. Baca hukumnya secara apa yang tersurat saja, tidak mau baca aturan lain,” kata Fickar.
Anggapan bahwa Fredrich termasuk kategori advokat pokrol bambu ini kemudian mencuat ke publik, lebih-lebih setelah ia ditetapkan sebagai tersangka oleh KPK. Gelar akademik yang dicantumkan dalam nama Fredrich pun mulai diragukan, bahkan laporan mantan istrinya soal ijazah palsu ke Perhimpunan Advokat Indonesia (Peradi) beberapa tahun silam kembali diungkit.
Tirto berusaha menelusuri soal jejak karier dan gelar akademik Fredrich. Reporter Tirto, misalnya, mencoba mengonfirmasi soal tudingan ijazah palsu ini kepada Luhut MP. Pangaribuan, Ketua Umum Peradi yang pernah menangani laporan etik Fredrich ini.
“Istrinya datang ke Peradi, dan tuntutan supaya dipecat karena ijazah palsu,” kata Luhut saat dihubungi Tirto, pekan lalu.
Luhut bercerita, dirinya pun menjadi pihak yang memverifikasi kebenaran Fredrich menggunakan ijazah palsu tersebut. Saat itu, kata Luhut, pihaknya sudah memberikan rekomendasi kepada pimpinan Peradi untuk diproses ke Marwah Tinggi Peradi. Sayangnya, sebelum Peradi mengeluarkan putusan benar atau tidaknya Fredrich menggunakan ijazah palsu, organisasi yang menaungi advokat ini pecah.
“Setahu saya belum pernah. Hasilnya, kan, Peradi kemudian pecah, dan saya tidak tahu lagi,” kata Luhut.
Luhut sendiri mengaku tidak mengenal Fredrich. Sepengetahuan Luhut, Fredrich aktif pertama kali di Surabaya, kemudian berpindah ke Bandung hingga akhirnya beraktivitas di Jakarta. Sayang, Luhut tidak ingat kapan tepatnya Fredrich berpindah dari satu daerah ke daerah lain.
“Saya menjadi advokat itu sudah 40 tahun, tapi saya tidak pernah tahu namanya apalagi ketemu. Ini kan seperti laporan istrinya saja,” kata Luhut.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh Luhut, Fredrich adalah lulusan Fakultas Hukum Universitas Jakarta (Unija) 2005. Setelah lulus dari Unija, kata Luhut, Fredrich baru mengikuti Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat (PKPA). Namun, di sisi lain, Fredrich mengaku sudah lama menjadi advokat.
“Kalau saya lihat pernyataannya Fredrich sudah (menjadi) advokat 40 tahun gitu kan? Jadi kontradiktif. Jadi perlu di-cek-ricek kebenarannya,” kata Luhut terkait klaim Fredrich yang sudah lama menjalani profesi sebagai pengacara.
“Saya melihat di salah satu dokumen, dia lulusan Unair (Universitas Airlangga). Coba cek di Unair tahun berapa? Pernah dia juga katakan lulusan dari Taiwan,” kata Luhut menambahkan.
Setelah Peradi pecah, kata Luhut, kasus Fredrich ini ditangani Peradi Soho, yaitu Peradi di bawah kepemimpinan Fauzi Yusuf Hasibuan. Luhut menyarankan agar detail kasus yang melibatkan Fredrich ini dikonfirmasi kepada Victor Napdapdap, salah satu Komisi Pengawas Peradi kubu Fauzi yang menangani kasus ini.
“Soal ijazah palsu oleh (laporan) istrinya, dan kami enggak tahu kenapa itu terjadi. Saya enggak tahu kebenarannya (karena Peradi belum memutuskan), tapi kan untuk mencari kebenaran keterangan dari sekolah yang bersangkutan,” kata Luhut.
Hal senada juga diungkapkan Sekretaris Komisi Pengawas Peradi, Victor W. Nadapdap. Saat dihubungi Tirto, pada Minggu (14/1/2018), ia mengatakan jika pihaknya pernah mendapat laporan terkait dugaan ijazah palsu Fredrich. Namun, kata Victor, Komwas Peradi belum menemukan indikasi tersebut.
“Kami tidak tahu ijazah palsu yang gimana? Coba ditunjukkan ke kami soal itu kalau memang ada,” kata Victor saat dikonfirmasi soal dugaan ijazah palsu Fredrich.
Menurut Victor, data Fredrich yang masuk ke Peradi adalah ijazah sarjana hukum dari Unija tahun 2005. Mantan pengacara Novanto ini kemudian mengikuti PKPA pada tahun 2006. “Diangkat dan diambil sumpah (sebagai advokat) pada 2007 di Pengadilan Tinggi Jakarta,” kata Victor.
Artinya, secara resmi Fredrich berprofesi sebagai advokat sejak dilantik pada 2007. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan penelusuran Tirto, Fredrich sudah mendirikan kantor advokat bernama Yunadi & Associates, sejak 1994 bersama 12 rekanannya, yang juga didukung oleh 25 Hakim Mahkamah Agung, Pengadilan Tinggi, Polisi dan ahli-ahli hukum sebagai rekan.
Benarkah Fredrich Lulusan Kampus Besar?
Tirto pun berusaha mengklarifikasi kebenaran kabar Fredrich lulusan dari Unija dan Unair. Kepala Pusat Informasi dan Humas Unair, Suko Widodo mengaku pihaknya sudah mengecek kebenaran kabar Fredrich pernah kuliah di Fakultas Hukum Universitas Airlangga. Namun, dalam pengecekan tidak ada nama Fredrich Yunadi.
“Sejauh ini tak ditemukan informasi atau identitas yang bersangkutan di dokumen Fakultas Hukum Unair. Ini sedang kami check and recheck lagi untuk memastikannya," kata Suko saat dihubungi Tirto, Selasa (16/1/2018).
Selain itu, Tirto juga melakukan penelusuran terkait pendidikan hukum Fredrich di Unija. Reporter Tirto dua kali mendatangi kampus yang berlokasi di Pulomas, Jakarta ini, yaitu pada Senin (15/1/2018) dan Selasa (16/1/2018).
Awalnya, Tirto diarahkan untuk menghubungi Pembantu Dekan Fakultas Hukum Unija Juwanto. Namun, ketika dihubungi, Juwanto menyerahkan kepada Wakil Dekan 1 Fakultas Hukum Unija Cut Fadlan.
“Mohon maaf saya tidak bisa. Coba bapak ke Wadek I FH," kata Juwanto saat dihubungi Tirto, Selasa (16/1/2018).
Dalam kunjungan kedua ini, pihak Unija memberikan data bahwa Fredrich memang lulusan kampus tersebut, sesuai data forlap.ristekdikti.go.id. Di laman itu, Fredrich tercatat sebagai alumni Unija tahun 2005. Ia mulai berkuliah pada semester ganjil 2003 dengan nomor mahasiswa 03030162 serta status mahasiswa pindahan. Ia hanya mengambil 14 SKS di jurusan ilmu hukum Fakultas Hukum Unija itu.
Pihak kantor advokat Yunadi and Associates pun tidak mengetahui detail tentang latar belakang Fredrich ini. Sandi Kurniawan, salah satu advokat yang bekerja di kantor Fredrich mengaku tidak mengetahui detail latar belakang pendidikan mantan pengacara Novanto ini.
Sandi yang bekerja sejak di kantor advokat Yunadi and Associates sejak 2010 ini mengaku, tidak mengetahui Fredrich lulus dari fakultas hukum mana. “Saya enggak pernah ngurusin masalah dokumen, pastinya beliau pribadi (yang mengurus dokumen)” kata Sandi saat dihubungi Tirto, Selasa kemarin.
Ia hanya bercerita bahwa Yunadi and Associates sudah berdiri sebelum dirinya bergabung. Sandi mengaku tidak mengurusi pribadi Fredrcih, karena sibuk menangani banyak perkara. Selama bekerja di kantor advokat itu, Sandi hanya sekali memegang perkara yang berurusan dengan pribadi Fredrich, yaitu sengketa antara Fredrich dengan Astrid Ellena Indriana Yunadi (putri dari Fredrich).
Sementara itu, penasihat hukum Fredrich Yunadi, Justriartha Hadiwinata menegaskan, kliennya sudah menjadi advokat sejak lama. Ia mengatakan, Fredrich sudah terdaftar sebagai anggota Peradi, dan saat ini tercatat sebagai anggota Peradi kubu Fauzi Yusuf Hasibuan.
“Yang mengeluarkan itu, kan, Peradi jadi advokat itu. Jadi Pak Fredrich terdaftar di Peradi,” kata dia saat dihubungi Tirto, Selasa.
Sayangnya, Justriartha tidak mengetahui kapan Fredrich menjadi advokat. Ia mengaku data tersebut ada di kantor pusat Peradi. Justriartha pun tidak mau menanggapi soal Fredrich disebut sebagai pengacara Pokrol Bambu.
